One year post knee stem cell treatment
One year after having knee stem cell therapy by Dennis M. Lox, MD,, 50-year-old reports no pain and return to sports. He reports prior to his stem cell therapy, he had knee pain with climbing stairs and he could no longer play tennis. Now, one year later he has resumed tennis and there is no longer pain climbing stairs. In fact, he reports he no longer has any knee pain.
Dr. Lox reports while not everyone improves with stem cells, motivated and healthy individuals do best. Though, some unhealthy and severely overweight patients have done well. It is best to have a proper planning session prior to having stem cell therapy. This is to make sure medications are not going to need to be changed. This occurs most frequently with anticoagulants which must be stopped before the procedure and can be resumed afterwards. By in large the procedure is simple and patients walk out afterwards. There is no downtime as in surgery or post procedure therapy that is necessary.
